Why I Love Kim Seokjin

Hello!! Welcome to my “why I love bangtan” series~ I’ll link my first post and joon’s post so you can read them if you’re interested! It is once again such an odd hour for posting but what can you expect from me hehe (it’s 12:04am). Honestly, I am posting these when I feel an intense love for BTS and that’s always at odd hours of the night:) The next person in the fan chant order is Mr. Kim Seokjin. *INHALES* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH can you imagine if all I did was scream for his post lmaooodsjhfdk

Seokjin is a blessing to this world and I feel honored to be his fan. Seokjin is my favorite vocalist from BTS and he’s one of the biggest comforts in my life. He is the kind of man I would want to introduce to my parents because he is so respectful and incredibly handsome because of the way he approaches life. My heart feels so warm and soft when I think about Seokjinnie T.T. The first time I heard his voice I felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my skull. His voice is so comforting, filled with talent and brings tears to my eyes. Seokjin has the determination of a beast, he will work for hours and hours to perfect his dancing, singing and performance. His voice is so stable and I constantly wonder if his lungs are even human lungs. There are several concert videos of him going absolutely chaotic mode and he’s still hitting every note effortlessly LIKE HOW. His lyrics are just *clutches heart* BEAUTIFUL AND SOFT AND COMFORTING AND I FEEL SO HEARD AND LOVED WHEN I READ THEM. Seokjin is one of the most loving people on this planet, he cares for six young men as if they were more than his blood brothers. He used to drive Jungkook to school, makes Jimin laugh with his ridiculous jokes, helps Tae smile, joins Namjoon on dinner dates, constantly hugs Hobi, and shares all his brain cells with Yoongi. I hope he is having a good day and I just want him to be happy and healthy. Seokjin is so comfortable with himself and I absolutely loved his development throughout the years. In Bangtan’s earlier videos, Jinnie was this quiet, reserved, and stereotypical “cute” idol and I could tell he was playing a character for the camera. I’m so happy he decided to say “fuck this bighit shit, it’s jinhit now” and became into this hilarious, self loving angel. The majority of Army call him a rebel but to be honest he’s just being himself. He’s cracking dad jokes, laughing his ass off and doing whatever he wants in terms of drinking on vlive, impulsively cutting and dying his hair before huge performances and being a straight up chaotic king on live tv. Seokjin never fails to make me double over with laughter and at the same time clutch my heart because he’s so freaking cute. I want to be his best friend and I’m so sad that I will only be his fan. 

I remember around July of 2018, his intro was going to drop and #jintro was trending on twitter and I was vibrating with enough energy to break glass because I could NOT wait for THE “WORLD WIDE HANDSOME” to do the intro for the final love yourself album. It’s such a fucking beautiful thing for Jin to be able to finish off the LY era with Epiphany. I remember screaming the lyrics in my friend Merlin’s car when it was released. I remember coming home at 12 am from the library after a hard study session and crying while listening to this song on repeat until I calmed down. I remember doing my morning routine with this song constantly playing in the background while I did up my hijab and dramatically lip synced the lyrics. The fact that millions of people across the globe are singing  “I’m the one I should love in this world” with Kim Seokjin is so beautiful to me. When he sang this live, I cried because he’s so talented and it felt like he was hypnotizing thousands of people because all of them were singing along to the lyrics. I’m so sad that I didn’t get to be a part of that atmosphere but I’m so thankful to Seokjin for creating that atmosphere and reminding us to love ourselves. Jin’s songs make it seem like he’s loving himself with us and it feels like he’s on our side instead of telling us what to do.

Jin has helped me live life in such a comfortable, slightly chaotic, and fun way. I think less about how embarrassed I’ll be and instead I think about how much fun I’m having and how it’s making me happy. He reminds me that life shouldn’t be approached in such a harsh way. He’s reminded me that I’m my own best friend and that I’m the one who’s got my back all the time. His unapologetic way of complimenting himself and creating a safe space for everyone around him has inspired me to follow suit.

~little things i love about seokjinnie~

• I love when he immediately embarrasses himself as well if a member trips or falls on stage. It’s like all he wants to do is create a safe environment for everyone.
• I love when he eats so much food at once and fills his entire cheeks (and he looks like a gerbil) even though he’s live in front of millions of people. 
• I love when he does chaotic ass shit like when he decided to dye his hair purple in his hotel bathroom the night before a major concert.
• I love his soft smile where it feels like he’s thinking “you’re really about to make me smile huh.”
• I love his mischievous eye smile when he just said a really dumb dad joke or when he teased a member.
• I love when he decides to be the one to call out controversial things, the things that Namjoon is nervous to talk about. 
• I love his love for plushies, elegant pink things, computer games, and fishing!!

Anyway, Seokjin has so much love for his members and Army. He is the softest boy, the hungriest boy, and the funniest boy. He’s the oldest but he’s babie. Please gush about Jin in the comments and let me know how he makes you feel! I have so much more to discuss, so I’d love to go back and forth with y’all.
