rating system

I have a pretty basic rating system and I’d rather not have one at all because I value my experience, mood, and thoughts as well as the quality of writing style, character development, or plot lines. For example, I could rate both “A Court of Mist and Fury” by Sarah J. Maas and “The Poppy War” by R. F. Kuang 4 stars but it would NOT be the same. The best way to assess my thoughts over a book is through a review and I try my best to write some kind of thoughts out when I finish a book. In the end, I still think it’s important to have a base number so that it is easy to assess how I felt about the book.
